New Year, New Season, New Opportunities
The start of the New Year is also the start of the new season for many sports, and to help, we have put together a check-list to kick off the New Year.
Ready, Set, Go!
1. Sign-up to Online Registration and Payments
This season tackle the opposition, not the registration paperwork. With Online Registration and Payments, managing your member information and fees has never been so easy and convenient. No more long registrations days and messy handling of cash.
This season, talk to us to find out how to free up volunteer time and save money.
2. Competitions
A new season, a new competition and new opportunities for 2013. Get organised and learn how to set up a new competition.
You can also clean-up competitions by archiving old ones:
Archive Competitions
1. From the Season Rollover Module, click Archive Competitions.
2. Move the Competitions that you wish to archive to the “Competitions to be archived” box on the righthand side using the <> buttons.
3. Click OK to archive the competitions you have selected.
4. Click Cancel to close the window without archiving.
Unarchive Competitions
1) From the Season Rollover Module, click Un Archive Competitions.
2) Move the Competitions that you wish to un-archive to the “Competitions to be archived” box on the right-hand side using the <> buttons.
3) Click Ok to unarchive the competitions you have selected.
4) Click Cancel to close the window without archiving.

3. SP Passport – new features coming soon!
SP Passport is a single sign in and will soon have the ability to link you to all the things you do in the SportingPulse Network. SP Passport enhances the way users, administrators and players interact with the Network, and this year you will have the ability to link player registration and payments details to their passport account so that your payment history is in the one spot.

4. YouTube Channel
Video technology will be a big priority for SportingPulse this year, and you should also make it one of yours too and embrace this fantastic tool.

5. Membership Database – Familiarise yourself with SP Memberships v6
On February 6, SP Membership v6 will go live. Before this date we encourage you to familiarise yourself with the new features and the look & feel. We’re excited about this change as it delivers to our administrators an improved user experience.
6. Sync and back-up your 2012 Database
It’s a good idea to sync your membership data ahead of the new season. Please read this before starting the steps ahead.

7. Revamp your website
The New Year is a perfect time to update or even upgrade your website from Standard to Advanced or even Advanced to Elite.
There are loads of great tools and tips you can use to update and customize your website. Things like adding a Trophy room, displaying team photos, customizing your site to match your team colours, and adding a handful of cool widgets.

8. Plan a Communication Calendar and start using SP Communicator.
This module of SP Membership allows you to communicate with your members at all levels both via email and SMS. It can be a very handy and powerful tool, especially when used in conjunction with Remembered Reports.
9. LiveScore
Linked directly to your member database and match results, LiveScore will allow a person to enter scores live onto a mobile device such as a smartphone or tablet, while you are at the game. LiveScore will then publish all updates to your websites automatically, together with the ability to share the scores from the website with your Facebook & Twitter fans instantly.
This product is now available for testing to ensure you have a great product ready to use when winter season commences.
