SportingPulse
Quick, Efficient and Convenient Registration and Payment

The Registration period doesn’t have to be a stressful and time-consuming part of your role. Using the SportingPulse Registration and Payments facility can save administrators up to 11 hours a week in time!

Knox Basketball in Victoria is now benefiting from taking their registration and payments online.   Check out what Heather Reid, who heads up their Junior Raiders Program, said about the system.

“Families love it and we currently have 77% of players registered and paid up, a great result given we have only just introduced this new process.  Once I had all the information, I found this system very easy to use.  So if I can do it, even with my limited computer knowledge, then anyone can!”

Here are the benefits I found using the SportingPulse system;

1.       Quick, efficient and convenience payment of fees.

o    With many families now very familiar and comfortable with paying for things online, providing this service for their basketball fees was well received and convenient, allowing them to do it in their own home, in their own time.

2.       Volunteer administration time saved

o    Rather than issuing paper forms to register, the forms are now completed by each family online.  With 80+ new players this is of considerable benefit

o    There is no longer a need for either registration or fee collection days/times

o    Our office accounts manager has saved significant time as there is no requirement for data entry or invoice generation

o    The system would also be a big help to smaller clubs who don’t have the office resources available.

3.       Up to date member data

o    Provision of up to date information such as email addresses for both our club and the Victorian Junior Basketball Association

4.       Reporting

o    With the variety of reports available structured to each clubs individual needs it is both quick and easy to gain information that you require and to be able to chase up outstanding amounts with the minimum of fuss.

How we structured our payments

·The $60 initial registration was required almost immediately - 10 days, this is important so we can place players, particularly new ones, into a team.

·We advised parents that players could not be placed in a team until this was completed. This was to ensure players were on the database ready to be placed in a team by the date set by Victorian Junior Basketball League. This also ensured that all players received their member username and password.

·We accepted either 1 full payment of $300 or 2 amounts of $150. This gave parents options to ease the burden.

·We do have a cut off date by which all players must be financial or suitable arrangements made. (The system also allows us to be flexible and work with parents who may be struggling to pay)

How it’s working

·Families love it and we currently have 77% of players registered and paid up, a great result given we have only just introduced this new process”
