Productive times for SP web team in 2012

Elite and Advanced sites are great options for those associations, clubs or leagues keen to enhance their web presence.

As well as the continued enhancement of our Standard network websites, the design and development team at SportingPulse have enjoyed an extremely productive year in 2012, helping launch several new Elite and Advanced websites for numerous clients and sports.

Advanced sites, which are a relatively new (and popular!) offering for SportingPulse, provide an affordable middle-tier solution between our Elite sites and our Standard (free) sites.

Located in inner-suburban Melbourne, McKinnon Basketball is a large association who upgraded to a new Advanced site back in July, and the move has proven extremely popular amongst members of the club.

Craig Churchill, whose son plays basketball at McKinnon and whose wife volunteers as a Team Manager, said “The new site really captures the feel of what McKinnon Basketball is all about.

“It has lots of vibrant images highlighting the types of competitions and range of age groups that McKinnon caters for.

"It demonstrates a great use of association and club colors, lots of news and nice big friendly navigation buttons as well".

The advantages of Advanced sites are that they use exactly the same CMS and infrastructure as our Standard sites but with a more custom-designed, modular home page to provide a more dynamic and user-friendly look-and-feel;  It also means that if the organisation is upgrading to an Advanced site from an existing Standard site, they don’t need to worry about migrating any content from one site to another, nor will they experience any 'down-time' where they might be left without a site altogether for any period of time.

Our SportingPulse web team have enjoyed a great first half of 2012, and they look forward to continuing to produce great outcomes for our sports into the future
