The benefits of using SP Registrations, even in a smaller organisation, are numerous. You can offer an online payment facility for your players and members, without needing your own payment gateway.
Also, you're able to create your own products and pricing, take payments 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, customise reports on your member database, and a range of other benefits. To find out more click here to access our Expression of Interest form.
-
I don’t currently use the SportingPulse Membership Database. How do I get access to it?
If you are a club or association within one of these sports - AFL, ARL, Hockey, Touch, Basketball, Lawn Bowls, Tenpin Bowling - then you just need to contact your state or national governing body to request your login code to the database.
If you fall outside of these sports, you can still get your own database to run online registration and payments through. Click here to fill out the Expression of Interest form and make sure to note that you require a membership database.
-
How much does it does cost?
Our fee structure is based on: 1. A percentage transaction fee. This fee incorporates transaction fees charged by third parties, Visa and Mastercard, and the processing and disbursement of funds to the nominated bank accounts (based on the payment split rules you select as part of your product set up). 2. A minimum transaction fee of $1. This fee only applies to lower value transactions and exists where the percentage transaction fee is too low to cover the fixed costs of processing that transaction.
-
Does the data still get transferred into my database if someone doesn't pay?
Yes
-
If I take a cash / cheque payment from a member, can I receipt this within the database?
Yes. You also have the option of printing out an automatically generated receipt.
-
Does the club still get charged the 3.9% transaction fee for cash / cheque payments?
Unlike our competitors, we do not charge fees for manual transactions
-
What's the difference between "user pays" and "inclusive" fee settings?
When you set up SP Registrations, you have the choice to either pass on the processing fees to your end users (that is, the players or members that purchase your products), or you can choose to absorb those fees within your pricing structure.
To look at a couple of examples. If you are set to a "user pays" structure, then the fees will be passed on in full to the purchaser. This means, if you had a product that you sold for a $100, at a rate of 3.9% the fee to be paid for the transaction is $3.90. The purchaser will see two line items when they complete their transaction; Registration product - $100 Processing fee - $3.90 Total - $103.90 On the other hand, if you use the "fees inclusive" model, the processing fee is effectively hidden within your pricing. In that case, the purchaser will only see a single line item, without actually seeing the processing fee explicitly stated. That is to say, all the would see in the above example is; Registration product - $103.90 Total - $103.90 Of course, this means you need to adjust how you price your items, as they need to include the fee.
